October's Family Value in all of our communities is "Wherever Your Are, Be All There". Being present means taking the time to stop what you are doing to create human connection with your interactions. When you are truly present, you are aware of your emotions and you are able to pause and be supportive and truly caring for other people. We know how important this is to our residents and it is just as important for our co-workers - your presence is truly a present. ... #FamilyValues

Congratulations to our August Ceca Foundation Honorees at our Drums community, Tina Allegretto & Jacqueline Callavini. Tina Allegretto has been our receptionist for over 19 years. She is always pleasant and provides great hospitality to our guests, residents, and coworkers. Congratulations Tina you deserve this award. Jacqueline Callavini works as an evening Resident Life Associate. She is known for always smiling and being positive. She works hard to be a team player and i...s willing to go above and beyond, not only for the residents, but for her coworkers. There is not a time you will see Jacqueline upset or overwhelmed. Thank you Jacqueline for your hard work and dedication. Congratulations also to Alica Derr for winning the August Nominator Gift Card. Your nominations are appreciated by all of your coworkers. Here are just a few nominations Tina and Jacqueline received in August: "Tina is the nicest and sweetest person ever. She always says "Hi" to me every day." "This past weekend Tina took the time to console a resident who was just having a bad day. The resident was very tearful and lonely and Tina brought the resident over by her desk and talked to her and made the resident feel better. She went and got her a drink and took her in her wheelchair outside, Tina didn't just leave her to sit alone she pushed her around the parking lot and continued talking with the resident. By the time they returned inside the building the resident was laughing and smiling! Just a few minutes with this resident made a world of difference to her. I nominate Tina because she really cares about all these residents. Tina deserves to win this award, she truly is a very caring and compassionate person." "Jackie recently joined my team at nightshift, she has worked here almost two years and has always worked dayshift. She is such an amazing person/caregiver/med tech, she has a great upbeat and positive attitude. She handles every and any situation will a calm manner and she is a great influence on others! We work in the memory care neighborhood and the way she treats and speaks to our residents is amazing to watch, she is gentle, patient and truly a loving person, the residents love her! She is a true team player and willing to do anything she needs to in order to get the job done. The other day we had a call off for the day team that comes in after us and I asked the team to help the other team by waking up some residents and get the dressed and ready for the day, Jackie went above and beyond not only did she wake a few residents but she also showered those who were due for their showers (without being asked). The day team couldn't thank her enough! She has impressed me so much in the short time she has worked on my team."
