This final day, we're aiming to reach our $10K goal for our TEEMS (formerly TOTEMS) program and we need your help getting there. Donations of any amount are matched 1:1! Follow the link in our bio or here and show your support for our unique new-student orientation program.

We’re so close to reaching our TEEMS goal so we’ve extended the campaign by two days. Give to this important cause to get matching donations and support a program that helps students get started on the right track in our college! For our TEEMS campaign, now in its final hours!, we asked our alums to share photos or what the experience meant to them. Here's what Amanda Gindhart (Penn State Department of Meteorology and Atmospheric Science, '09, Penn State GEMS - Graduates of Earth and Mineral Sciences) had to say: "My first day at Penn State was the day I attended TOTEMS (now TEEMS). Not knowing anyone in the state of Pennsylvania let alone at Penn State, TEEMS gave me the opportunity to meet fellow students who were in the same boat as me. To this day, friends I met at TEEMS have become lifelong friends, going 15 years strong. My experience shaped my entire Penn State experience, and I encourage any incoming EMS student to attend." Great read that highlights issues with the lack of representation at the research level. Our Penn State Department of Meteorology and Atmospheric Science expert Gregory Jenkins and Penn State GEMS - Graduates of Earth and Mineral Sciences Warren Washington are among those featured. Jenkins on the lack of representation in his field: I should not be the only one in here. Don’t tell me I’m the smartest person. I don’t believe you. Other people have been locked out of this system.
