Congratulations to Faculty Member Brad Jakubowski for being recognized with The Dr. Bill Daniel's STMA founders award. Dr. William Daniel set the pattern for educator/researcher involvement in STMA. The partnership between educators and researchers and the sports turf managers who incorporate these advances in on-the-field applications is key to the progress of the industry. The Daniel Award recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to the industry through research, teaching or extension.

We are sad to learn that Professor Emeritus Dr. Tom Watschke passed away last night. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers. The last day of 'practicals' before we go 100 percent online after Thanksgiving. It was good to have the students in class on last time! Complete controller and valve installation and wiring.

Brad Jakubowski, Irrigation Instructor, had a great day with the 2- and 4-year students learning about and fusing HDPE pipe. They learned and completed techniques of electro-fusion, butt-fusion, saddle-fusion, socket-fusion and mechanical compression fitting. A full day of solid training.
