Meet @wcpack717 . It was not long ago Will was taking his Harley on long rides on the many winding roads around. Somewhere along the way he was bit by the cycling bug. The bite and symptoms that followed led to more and longer bicycle rides and growing interest in the various genres of cycling. He started road cycling with his Cannondale Synapse building time on this bike and doing various supported rides. We corrected a saddle problem on this bike with an Ergon saddle s...tocked at the office and adjusted the positioning of the saddle to meet his needs. The cycling bug is also known to make riders want additional bikes specific to new interests. This need was satiated with a new Otso Wahella, an All Road/Gravel ride. Will came in for a full fit on his Waheela. Saddle and Handlebar position were adjusted and other fit details addressed to improve his comfort. After a long covid break Bike Fits are back! I am as excited to be back at it as many of you are to be riding each week. Bike fitting works by gaining insight into client past experiences, goals, assessment of position, applying good biomechanical principles, and an open feedback loop through the entire process. Kelly was so excited after his ride the next day he gave me a call and was kind enough to write up a summary of his experience below: - I went into PT Bike Fit to get a proper fit done on my bike that I’ve been riding for a while. I’ve always been a big advocate of making sure your bike fits you properly. That said I’ve also been skeptical of the absolute need for these fitting services. This was my chance to be a guinea pig and find out for myself. The whole point of a bike fit is to make you sit more comfortably (which will let you ride for longer) and to help you ride more efficiently. PT Bike Fit Marty " was not only knowledgeable but he welcomes you with open arms and answers all the questions you may have while doing your bike fit and seat mapping! He’s thorough, and meticulous with every inch of your bike! The whole process is very personable and thorough and takes about three to four hours to complete. Marty first takes you through a pre-fit interview and flexibility assessment to gauge where you’re at and to see what problems might exist that will need to be taken into consideration. You may not even be aware of some of the problems. With that said I skeptical at first until I rode my bike the following day for a 30 mile ripper!
