Palmyra Township Public Beach

The beach is now closed due to staffing shortages. There was no issue with water quality. The buildings and parking lots are all locked and closed for the season.

Happy August everyone!! The beach is open (weather dependent) - sorry for any confusion. There’s about 2-3 of additional water in the lake, thanks to Hurricane Isaias. Come on out for what should be a beautiful week!!

(Hopefully) LAST UPDATE FOR JULY 2ND First, we apologize for the miscommunication. Our first post was based on incorrect information. Our second post did not load correctly. Secondly, we also apologize to the groups that previously shared our post as it was wrong information. Per Governor Wolf's mandate due to the rising COVID-19 cases, masks are to be worn at outside public places if you are unable to maintain social distancing protocols from others (besides those you reside... with). Masks are not required on the beach, provided you can maintain 6 feet (or more) of social distancing. Masks are still required anytime you are in the bathroom, at the concession stand, or in the changing rooms. You must set up six feet away from other groups and masks are strongly encouraged on the beach, especially within close proximity of other groups, to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.
