With temps soaring into the 90s and most streams approaching the upper 60s (if not already 70), now's a good time to share this. Searching for colder water,fish...ing early mornings,after a cool rain and hitting tail waters can be a saving grace but unless that opportunity arises...your favorite stream may be too warm for a little while! Some good alternatives to Trout fishing during these heat waves are to tie flies, BBQs, help with stream restoration projects/chapter cleanups and events, or what some of our directors like to do.....switch over to warm water species like panfish and bass, at least till it cools off again!
