Dear Wrestling families, Hope everyone had a merry and healthy Christmas! We apologize for the delay in letting everyone know the plans for our season. With everything going on it's tough for coaches to decide what is best for our wrestlers and their families regarding all the changes and restrictions set upon winter sports this year. It is with a heavy heart that we report there will be no youth wrestling season this winter. Unfortunately, coaches decided there are a number... of factors contributing to this decision. Coaches want every wrestler to have a positive and fun season. With that being said please keep an eye out for info regarding a post season or possibly a summer camp or BOTH. Due to new restrictions set by the governor on indoor and out door sports PV Youth wrestling will not start until January 11th. FIRST PRACTICE DEC 8TH POSTPONEMENT!! PLEASE READ FOLLOWING EMAIL SENT 12/5 Hello Wrestling Families!... Hoping to find everyone healthy and happy! Thanksgiving has come and gone and the Christmas season is upon us! Usually we'd be in a full swing wrestling season and we are determined to do everything we can to proceed with a fun and safe season. With that being said, unfortunately, at this time our coaches have decided to push the first practice off one more week. We learned today that all wrestlers must wear masks throughout the entire practice with no exceptions. We as coaches and parents feel this isn't ideal conditions for our wrestlers with amount of time our children are already being expected to wear masks throughout the day. We encourage parents/guardians to please give us your feedback on this front to help coaches to proceed with further plans. Coaches are trying to get a consensus on how many parents feel comfortable sending their child to practice wearing masks full time in close quarters in a warm wrestling room. It is hard to social distance our wrestlers and coaches given the nature of wrestling. Coaches want to be completely transparent with our new and existing wrestling families that they will do everything they can to run a safe practice following all covid guidelines but want parents to be aware of the conditions of the room regardless of how many restrictions are in place. We thank everyone for your patience and understanding as we navigate through this unprecedented sitation. Again we encourage any and all feedback/questions from parents/guardians! Just received word there will be NO PRACTICE TONIGHT!!!! We will not start until after Nov.30th we apologize for the last minute change we just got word.

REMINDER: First practice (k-3rd) is today starting at 5:45 second practice (4-6th) 7-8:30 @PVHS. Please arrive a little early for check in. Please accompany your child to the rear entrance with a mask on to sign in. ... If your child is experiencing any covid symptoms please keep your wrestler home. Pick up ONLY will be at main entrance at the end of practice. Please bring water for your wrestler as we don’t have access to water fountains. Please bring registration form. See you then!!!
