This is a pretty big deal! The Quality Inn Breeze Manor achieved the top ranking among 1,684 Quality Inns nationwide this month. We are so proud of the team of people who come to work here every day to make this happen! This has been a family owned Quality Inn since 1953. Isn't it cool that the oldest Quality Inn in the country can reach the top of the Quality Inn Brand ranking! Email surveys from our guests today echo what the paper comment cards have said since the beginning. People love the cleanliness, the friendliness and the attention to detail that this Quality Inn has always been known for. The Quality Inn Breeze Manor opened for business 67 years ago today. One of our first employees came down tonight in an appropriate car to celebrate this anniversary with us. Don Foor is showing off his convertible 1967 Plymouth Sport Fury. And we are celebrating our Quality Inn ranking 2nd of 1,686 Quality Inns nationwide. We have some great employees on this team here. And we have always had great guests. Thanks everyone for being a part of this history here. It’s been fun! Here is a photo of our 97 year old matriarch, Helen Felton. Her daughter Judy, and nephew Don Foor. Helen and her husband Donald Felton have set a standard here that Judy and I try to emulate every day. She makes us proud to keep this going at a level she and Donald established from the start.

We aren’t flying hot air balloons to achieve social distancing. Our county visitors bureau is closed by the state right now. So Dennis Tice, the bureau director, was out with his drone today. And he captured these 2 photos of our maple trees budding out in the front yard of our Quality Inn. These trees were planted 25 years ago by Wayne Feight at Countryside Nursery. They were only 8 feet tall and the trunks were no thicker than broom sticks. They add a lot to the front yard today. And the photos are a nice addition to our memories of this family owned 67 year old Quality Inn. Thanks for the maple trees, Wayne. Thanks for these drone photos, Dennis.
