Since the opening of fishing season was moved to April 3rd, The Kettle Creek Hose Company #1 will be having their fishing season breakfast on April 3rd from 6-10am instead of April 17th. Quiet Oaks Campground is planning on opening up the pavilion for breakfast starting the weekend of April 10th & 11th, weather permitting. Please go out and support the fire company breakfast April 3rd.

So far this winter, it feels a small amount like winters when we were kids growing up in this area. Started with snow in November/December and have had snow since. Keep getting a little more each day. Very fine snow right now, but beautiful. Snow cam has been down hard and should be back up and fixed here shortly. Getting calls about snowmobiling, we are not the best at offering advice about this, as we do not necessarily see the trails from our place and we are not on ...them. Please find the information you are looking for at the provided link below. Hope this helps everyone. Scroll down below the map and each trail has the conditions listed. https://www.apps.dcnr.state.pa.us//snowm/northcentral.aspx We also wanted to share that the Kettle Creek Valley Outdoor Show is cancelled for 2021. Please keep the Kettle Creek Hose Company and the Kettle Creek Ambulance Association in your thoughts and prayers. Both are volunteer associations who have been hit hard with the cancellations of their fund raisers. Be safe everyone and take care.

We wanted to let the breakfast folks know two things. One - Labor Day weekend, Kettle Creek Hose Company will be having breakfast at the fire hall on Saturday, so there will be no breakfast at the campground, as Dave will be cooking at the fire hall. Just for SATURDAY - SEPT 5TH. Sunday and Monday will be back in the pavilion. Second - We are going to stay open for breakfast in the pavilion through September and some of October, depending on the weather. There maybe one weekend that we are not serving breakfast, that will be the weekend of September 19th, we will let you know about that. As we move forward we will let you know when the weather makes the decision to shut the breakfasts down. Thank you to everyone who supports our breakfast. We so appreciate your business.

Sitting here this evening watching some ELK, one decided to try out the new stage, the other the dance floor.

Please take the time to read our COVID plan for this weekend. Thank you for following and keeping everyone that attends safe. Kettle Creek Music Festival 2020/...Quiet Oaks Campground Covid Plan 19 Gate: All vehicles entering will be stopped as usual. Please have your valid ID ready. Temperatures will be checked. Anyone within the vehicle that has a temperature above 100.4, access will be denied for that vehicle. If cleared for entry, you will proceed to obtaining an arm band. Each person in the vehicle will be given/offered a mask. Workers at the gate will have masks or face shields and wear gloves. Vendors: Each vendor should come prepared with sides to the tent or setup. Walking traffic through vendor row will be one way. Ribbons will be up advising entrances and exits. Each vendor space will be expanded by an additional 3 ft. Each will be 15 feet. Masks are suggested when visiting vendors Tailgating: Tailgaters should come prepared with sides for their tailgating spot. This easily partitions your space from the space next to you. Allows for distancing to occur. Stage: Band members, roadies, sound crew, security and Kettle Creek Music Festival staff only are authorized behind the stage and in the stage area. No one besides band members and stage hands, sound crew will be allowed on stage. Dance floor: There will be entrances and exits to the dance floor with a 250 maximum capacity. It will be very obvious where you are allowed to dance. Field viewing area: Please maintain your 6 foot distance between other participants. Hi folks. Hope everyone is doing well. Just wanted to post some things. If you are renting a site or a cabin for any event, please call if you wish not to arrive if that event is cancelled. So far, several have been. Smoked Country Jam, Memorial Day Kids Fishing Derby, Cross Fork Snake Hunt, Cruise for Cure ATV ride. It is impossible for us to keep up with calling everyone and figuring out what the wishes are, whether you still want to come or whether you want to cancel.... We tried this but with the increase on cancellation it is not possible. With the cleaning we are doing in the cabins, check out time of 11 and check in time of after 3pm, has to be followed. We have a process, and that process is involved and it requires a spray down and time you leave the cabin alone. So it's impossible to get right in and clean right away. If you have an RV, the bathhouse will be off limits - you are going to need to use your own facilities. The bathhouse is for use by folks that have no other capability to shower, clean up or toilet - we apologize but this maybe the new normal. Depending on the amount of people in the campground, showers for camps may have to be limited. You will need to check in to see about use. One person at a time and you will be required to make sure to the best of your ability that the shower house is maintained in the clean state you find it.

For everyone that has been asking and is interested, we will be opening for breakfast this weekend. Things will be a bit different. You will write your own order on the slip provided. Payments will be a bit different. Those will be explained when you arrive - check or cash. For this first weekend, while we are all getting used to some new things, you can also call, order and pick up. They will give you an estimated time of pick up. Hours will still be 8-10am. Some food items may not be available, that has become somewhat of a normal.

We have enjoyed, as the folks who have been staying with us, since Friday the daily and nightly visits of the ELK. We would like to remind everyone that they are wildlife. We all appreciate seeing them. We all appreciate their beauty and presence, really of all wildlife, deer, elk, bear, turkey, no matter which it maybe that finds food in our field. We wanted to just remind everyone staying with us, and everyone not staying with us, that we appreciate being able to provide this area for you folks to enjoy viewing. But PLEASE KEEP YOUR DISTANCE. The roads (main access roads) are open and vehicles should remain on those roads.

We just decided to look outside on this rainy day in PA and look what we saw. Even the Elk have been advised of the need to social distance.

As per Governor Wolfs announcement earlier today, we will be opening our cabins and campground this Friday May 1st. We will be working to open the pavilion for breakfast but not May 1st. Our target date for opening for breakfast is the weekend of May 16th & 17th. The breakfast will be for take out only. Thank you for all your patience through all of this. Hope to see everyone soon.

We are saddened by the cancellation of the Smoked Country Jam for 2020. We were looking forward to a wonderful festival as they had some great talent for 2020 (as always). Our plans for the folks with reservations are to roll your reservation for you to the event for 2021, which will be June 17th,18th and 19th. We will be in touch with each of you personally in the next week or so. Please be safe until we meet again for that peaceful easy feeling festival...

Quiet Oaks Campground 30.07.2020

As per the information put out by Governor Wolf today, we will continue to be closed now up to and including May 8th. We are in hopes that he will allow us to start operating after that point. Be safe everyone.

Quiet Oaks Campground 22.07.2020

The heck with fishing, let's go snowmobiling. Best snow we have seen all year.

Quiet Oaks Campground 10.07.2020

Hopefully we will able to get back to this for everyone's sake soon. Please be safe and take care of each other and those around you. We are all looking forward to traveling and moving around again, but from a place that generally welcomes your visit, to a place now that is having to tell you, you can not come, it is extremely difficult on us as it is on you all. God Bless you all and we will get through this...
