Yay! I have studied with some of these teachers. Rev Angel and Michelle Cassandra Johnson. We need to embody social justice. We need grounded, regulated people particularly now.

Whole hearted Dear Ones, These are such brutal times. Tend to your wounded places, call in your people who will allow you to be vulnerable and soothe your troub...led spirit. I tell myself that I am feeling all the despair, rage, anger and enormous grief because I am alive. I feel because I care deeply about living in a world that is just and fiercely kind. There is no peace without justice. Justice for the 370,000 Americans dead, 14 deaths in my county today. Justice for the breach of regard for democracy displayed last week. Justice for Black Lives. Justice for all lives that are pushed to the margins. Staying silent in the face of tyranny is complicit so I will call my words to be seeds, springing up from a rooted, grounded nutrient rich soil, bursting through the ground, these words of revolutionary love that will require tending, and nourishing. Words that weave and connect as root systems intertwine underground, words that expand, grow, flourish and bloom. Words that travel by the pollination of building equity and justice, words that are birthed into existence by the hard labor that results in something new that we have yet to dream/breathe/live into existence. Emergent in my morning meditation was this: Find the way that has yet to present itself. Everything is emergent. Release certainty. Lend your voice and your person to bringing forth that which lies beyond anything and everything we know. Resist the urge to bypass and dwell in the shallows. Dive Deep, Dear Ones. Come up for air, but dive deep.

Moving into the New Year virtually for the time being with Covid still running rampant, I want to take the time to thank all of the amazing folks that have shown up to create an amazing community in Zoom rooms in our Tuesday and Saturday classes. We have together, created a space where vulnerability and connection can exist with people who have never met in physical space before. It has been a rich and blessed experience and I'm grateful to be able to continue offering classe...s and greeting new participants in this year. I am also grateful to @stackhouse_park and Sandyvale memorial gardens for allowing me to teach contribution-based classes all summer and meet new students and explore spontaneous dance parties! Finally, I am grateful to all of the organizations that have utilized my services virtually in this past year including but not limited to Laurelview Village, @jim_donovan_sound_health, Cambria County Library System Central Library, Sparks PittJohnstown Appalachian Intermediate Unit 8, 1889 Jefferson Center for Population Health, The Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank, @victimservicesinc1983 and @womenshelpcenter Thank you!! www.yogasong.net YogaSong [email protected]
