The Rainbow Connection Preschool will be having a curbside pickup on Sunday, June 14th, between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Please pull in the parking lot in the loop that we use for school arrival and dismissal. Hi my friends! I miss you all lots and am thinking of you everyday. I just keep thinking about all the things I had planned for Earth Day this week. I figured I’d share 2 hands on activities that I had planned that you can do today or later this week while in rains if you would like: Use a paper plate, paint or food dye, and shaving cream to make a marble painted Earth; use the homemade play dough recipe to make an Earth, with all the layers of the Earth in different colors. ... Tomorrow is Earth Day! The weather seems like it will be nice, so if you can, get outside! Go on a nature walk, pick up garbage in your backyard, or review what materials we recycle and sort them. Good morning! Later this week when it gets rainy and we are stuck inside, use plastic eggs for some Easter fun! You can use these for practicing many skills such as numbers, letters, STEM activities, making patterns, color sorting, identifying shapes, painting, and many other endless possibilities. Of course, filling them with treats for an egg hunt is a great way to end the week as well. Thank you to our amazing families for all you are doing for your children during this crazy time! Good afternoon! On WNEP, I recently saw that a popular online library, Tumblebooks were offering its services for free during our time at home. It has many online books and audio books, and also has a section of math books and quizzes. Kids tend to love it because they seem more like fun videos than books. It is designed for K-6. So feel free to use with older siblings. (There is also a teen version for grades 7-12.) For our purposes, there are many picture books and easy readers that would be appropriate for our preschoolers. In the math section, look for books that practice counting.
