HOLY MOTHER OF GOD, WE JUST TRANSPORTED A NATIONAL HERO TODAY JUNE 6 OF ALL DAYS! For those of you who does not understand the significance of this date, it is the date that has propelled us into a dominant force and has changed the course of history! June 6th 1944 was the day we performed the greatest amphibious landing ever! And it was one of the bloodiest moments in American history especially for those who landed on Utah and Omaha beach! AND THIS MAN... WAS ONE OF THE VERY SURVIVING FEW THAT HAS ACTUALLY LANDED ON UTAH BEACH IN THE SECOND WAVE AND SURVIVED ONE OF THE MOST DEADLIEST LANDINGS EVER! And to think on the last transport of the day when all we wanted was for the day to be over on this day 50 plus years after this event has been forever seared as our greatest hour, we have been honored to transport one of the few remaining who have actually lived and walked the horror of what that was! We spent about an hour just talking and I asked him about his experiances. What an amazing man! D day was his introduction to war and he said while he was in a Higgins boat going to shore he can hear the chaos the rounds pinging on the boats the explosions all around you and when that gate opened. It felt like the gate of hell was lowerd fir him to enter. the sights the smells will forever be with me. The ocean was red there was soo much blood people screaming and falling and exploding into a ball of red all over you showering you with body parts. The screams of the dying. The guy next to you there one second and the next he was gone without a head. He said I'm no hero u just don't think there was no time to process the fear the horror of all that was happening around you until after it was over and you made it through hell. What makes this so special to us is that without the sacrifices of his generation and what they endured where would we be? WE HAVE BEEN HONORED AND PRIVILEGED TO PROVIDE OUR SERVICE TO THE FEW REMAINING NATIONAL HERO'S WHO HAVE BEEN SCARRED FOREVER SO WE CAN ENJOY THE PRIVILEGE OF INGNORANCE TO THE SACRIFICES THEY ENDURED AND ENJOY THE FREEDOMS WE HAVE
