The Summer Solstice Milky Way, rising over the Raystown branch, Juniata river late last night. Shot from the middle of the river, my tripod in 2 feet deep. I've... been wanting to do this shot for sometime now as I knew it existed. The stars aligned, conditions were favorable, the river was low and I was fired up! Bull frogs croaking, Red Fox, Raccoons, Possums, Crayfish and a few Smallmouth bass apart of it all. A strong connection with the Universe reestablished, my heart content. See more

The public needs EQUAL access to the lake. I talked to some people from Mt. Union and Mapleton and they told me as kids their parents never took them to the lak...e because it was too far to get to a recreation area. This is just a shame when we have this beautiful lake with very little access, and NONE on the northeastern shore! Ask the US Army Corp to add more access to the lake on parcel #5303 about 15 minutes from Mill Creek. Use the form to make your comments on the USACE website by Dec 7. Here is a look down Market Street in Clearfield. Clearfield started as a Native American village along the Great Shamokin Path. It was originally named Chinklac...amoose until 1804. The Great Shamokin Path started in Shamokin village which is now Sunbury west to Kittaning. Clearfield was considered the halfway point. The towns population was 6,215 in 2010. See more
