Red Lion Ambulance EMT Alex (grey shirt), EMT Shawn (blue sweatshirt), Community Life Team Paramedic Dennis (far left) were able to meet Mr. Howard Owrutsky and his wife this evening. Our spectacular crew saved the life of Mr. Owrutsky on December 18th after he went into cardiac arrest on the way to the hospital. Mr. Owrutsky is the third Clinical Save for Red Lion Ambulance in 2021. Words cannot fully express how proud we are of our providers at Red Lion Area Ambulance!!

On July 20, 2020 a citizen went into cardiac arrest while shopping at Rick’s Home Center (Ace Hardware) on South Main Street in Red Lion. Bystander CPR was initiated. Red Lion Ambulance along with a paramedic from Life Team EMS arrived and took over care of this patient. While in the care of these providers the citizen was successfully resuscitated. This citizen was transported to and treated at the Wellspan York Hospital and was eventually discharged home. As of today the citizen is still alive and doing well. Clinical Save Commendations and Clinical Save Award Pins, issued by The Emergency Services Health Federation, were presented to EMT-B Brandon J. Rauhauser, EMT-B Kimberly S. Grim, and EMT-P Joseph Warner (Paramedic with Life Team EMS) for their hard work and success on this call.

October is fire prevention month! Our friends from the Red Lion Youth Center stopped by the fire house this morning to learn all about fire trucks and ambulances. We love showing our equipment to the next generation of first responders! We talked about fire safety and emergencies where you might need an ambulance. Thank you to Alliance Fire and Rescue for having us over to share our knowledge with our friends. What a great way to kick off fire prevention month!
