2020 Marching Lions

Red Lion Band Camp #52 complete! First band camp held at the high school in over half a century. Fantastic group of students in the 2020 Marching Lions! These students are truly the Pride of Red Lion!

Hello friends, family, & alumni of the Red Lion Band. Tonight I announced to our Marching Lions students we will not be traveling to Hartman Center for our annual band camp. Because of necessity of social distancing, it is not feasible for us to travel away to camp, stay in cabins together, and take part in our evening team-building activities. You may have also heard or seen on social media Hartman Center is no longer able to remain financially solvent and the UCC Confer...ence and is going to close Hartman Center on December 31, 2020. The 200+ acres at Hartman Center has gone up for sale as of July 1, 2020. The Red Lion Area Marching Lions have been proud and honored to have traveled to Milroy, PA for the past 51 years to hold our annual band camp. As Marching Lions Director, I have experienced 29 of these camps. Four as a student, one as college student alumni staff member, and twenty-four as a director. Some of my favorite memories come from Hartman Center and I will miss it dearly this August. Recently on a trip through PA, I made a stop at Hartman Center to take what may be some of the last pictures for the Red Lion Band at Hartman Center. Thank you to all of the alumni over the past 51 years who have made Hartman Center a special place for the Red Lion Area Marching Lions.
