Red Rose Scottish Country Dancers

We’re still dancing outside with masks BUT our gloved hands enable us to actually touch each other again. And we had a full set tonight....first time in forever. It was a great night of dancing!

It was an absolutely beautiful evening for dancing outside! We danced The Clansman and perfected the Targe, which wasn’t easy without hands. Glenda Jardel, this is for you!

Happy Halloween from our masked outdoor dancers! We missed our annual Halloween Dance party but still managed to have a laugh or two.

We're now "Social Distance Dancing" outside at St. Mark's Church in Mount Joy on Tuesday nights from 6PM - 7:30PM. Tonight we danced "The Highland Fair", "Seann Truibhas Willichan", "Hello Goodbye", "It's Nae Bother", "Three's the Charm", "Dark Lochnigar", "It's All Right" and "De'il Amang the Tailors". Great fun!... If you join us, wear sneakers, bring water and DON'T FORGET YOUR MASK!

Well....tired of not dancing, 6 of our brave dancers met in a local park where we danced with social distancing and no physical contact. Chairs and pool noodles marked our spacing, a minimal 6 ft.between people. It worked surprisingly well. No one felt unsafe or uncomfortable.... except for the 90 degree temperature. It's not exactly the social dancing we are used to and footwork is non existent but it sure was good to be back on the "dance floor".
