As you begin to make your list and check it twice, consider sharing some holiday cheer through the RSCA’s Holiday Gift Drive! The drive will benefit Project STAR, which is the family services component of The Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh. For many children growing up in the adoption/foster care system or in intensive family support, the holiday season can be difficult as many of these children have never had a real holiday celebration with family. Your gifts can bring ...light to an amazing kid this holiday season. This year we were able to add a few trees on Trenton Avenue and hope to add to the Forbes and Braddock intersection next year. This endeavor is not always easy, and does cost money - so when you join or renew your membership you are helping to contribute towards this cause! Walk around Edgewood and SAFELY enjoy the holiday lights, maple avenue lum...inary display and discover treats (and more!) at designated homes throughout the neighborhood. We can all enjoy the magic of the season and the magic of Edgewood! Stay tuned for a MAP of designated treat, toy and fun houses.

The Fair Trade Marketplace will be happening in a new and different way this year. Instead of an in-person event in the ECS school building, we’ll be asking sup...porters to purchase fair trade gifts online through our vendors’ websites. From now through January 31st we are collecting shoes for donation that will benefit local Greyhound Adoption Center (WIGAC). Bring us your gently used clean p...air of shoes for donation and receive 10% OFF a new pair of shoes. Discount only applies once per person and must be redeemed at time of donation. Shoes donated get resold in developing countries through micro-entrepreneur programs and funds provided to WIGAC go to rehoming retired greyhounds.
