June is National Cancer Survivor Month. More than 16.9 million people in the U.S. are cancer survivors thanks to advances in cancer research.

We're happy to feature our January Committee Member and Committee of the Month! Julia Mertes is a freshman studying English and journalism. She loves being a member of the fundraising committee because they coordinate amazing fundraising events in the community, and it's great to see an event succeed after extensive planning and coordination. Julia has been an incredible addition to Relay, as she always likes and shares posts, has secured two sponsorships, and is third in our event in personal fundraising! The fundraising committee has organized multiple fundraisers over break and continues to work hard to raise money for Relay!
