We are a partner with Lea Elementary School, our local elementary school in West Philly. Two Lea staff members, Ms. Aja and Ms. Niya, are organizing an independent coat drive and mutual aid event to support local families. Their goal is to provide basic essentials and warm clothing for our community, and especially children in need. Date: Sunday, October 18th Time: 12:00 - 3:00 pm (or until inventory is gone) Location: Malcolm X Park, 5100 Pine Street, 19143... They are looking for new or slightly used coats, hats, gloves, socks, non-perishable food, or anything that a family may need for the upcoming winter season or financial donations. Donations can be dropped off on the day of the event before 11:00 am at Malcolm X Park.

The Beautiful Community Book Discussion: Our City Mission Conference is scheduled for the end of October. Our Keynote Speaker will be Dr. Irwyn Ince. Dr. Ince just released a new book entitled The Beautiful Community: Unity, Diversity, and the Church at its Best. Pastor Ryan will be leading a weekly online book discussion on Tuesday nights.
