PennDOT Extends Expiration Dates for Apportioned Vehicle Registrations to June 16, 2021 The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that the expiration date for apportioned vehicle registrations for Pennsylvania registrants that were set to expire between May 31, 2021 and June 16, 2021 are now extended through June 16, 2021. ... Apportioned registrants should mail their apportioned renewal applications or invoice payment to the Department for processing, or it may be dropped off at the Riverfront Office Center in Harrisburg, 1101 S. Front Street, Harrisburg. Apportioned invoices may be paid in person by cash, certified check, cashier’s check or money order made payable to Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Invoices can also be paid via wire transfer, please visit our website at www.dmv.pa.gov for more information. Customers in need of apportioned registration renewals now have until on June 16, 2021 to complete the renewal process. See more

PennDOT Extends Expiration Dates on Commercial Driver Licenses, Commercial Learner’s Permits Effective December 31, 2020, expiration dates for commercial driver licenses and commercial learner’s permits... will be extended for Pennsylvania residents in response to statewide COVID-19 mitigation efforts. The following products’ expiration dates will be extended: The expiration date for a commercial learner’s permit scheduled to expire from March 16, 2020, through February 22, 2021, is extended through February 22, 2021. The expiration date for commercial driver licenses scheduled to expire from March 16, 2020, through February 22, 2021, is extended through February 22, 2021. There are no additional extensions issued on non-commercial driver license, photo identification cards, learner’s permits or camera cards. See more

If you ride please consider taking the MC safety course. I have never heard a bad word said about the course itself and what can it hurt? And it could save a life; maybe yours! Pennsylvania Motorcycle Safety Program classes are set to resume statewide through the end of the year with new safety measures in place to protect against COVID-19. The classes are free to Pennsylvania motorcycle permit and license holders. Completing the basic or intermediate course waives the requirement for a permit holder to complete the skills test at a PennDOT Driver License Center. A list of locations and training providers is available online, and virtual training is also available for individuals under the age of 18.

Pa DOT postponed the deadline for Real ID until 10/01/2021 because of the Pandemic. Real ID is NOT a necessity or requirement but can help while traveling or visiting Federal Buildings. PennDOT Resumes REAL ID Processing The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has resumed issuing REAL IDs at reopened Driver License Centers throughout the state. REAL ID processing was suspended in March when most PennDOT offices closed amid the COVID-19 pandemic.... The deadline to comply with REAL ID requirements was pushed back one year due to the pandemic. REAL ID is optional for drivers, but driver licenses and photo ID cards will no longer be accepted as a valid form of identification for boarding commercial flights or visiting federal buildings beginning on October 1, 2021. CDL License Extension Information As you are aware, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has implemented operational changes in response to Governor Wolf’s mitigation guidance regarding COVID-19. Effective August 31, 2020, expiration dates for commercial driver licenses and commercial learner’s permits are extended for Pennsylvania residents through September 30, 2020. Expiration extension deadlines on non-commercial driver license, photo identification car...ds, learner’s permits and camera cards expired on August 31. Effective August 31, the following products’ expiration dates are extended to September 30, 2020: Commercial learner’s permits scheduled to expire from March 16, 2020, through September 30,2020; Commercial driver licenses scheduled to expire from March 16, 2020, through September 30,2020; and Hazardous Materials Endorsements (HME) for individuals who are a Pennsylvania-licensed commercial driver’s license holder and who held a valid, unexpired HME with a determination of no security threat on or after March 6, 2020. For a list of open driver license and photo license centers and the services provided, as well as their hours of operation, please visit www.dmv.pa.gov. As a reminder, no vehicle registrations, safety inspections and emissions inspections or Persons with Disabilities Parking Placards were extended past June 30, 2020. See more

I need to vent. So how can Pa DOT close tomorrow for Juneteenth day, with no notice until today, when all title and tag agencies in the state of Pa. need PLATES to operate and they are not giving us those PLATES we need to be able to open and make a living? Not bad enough the Governor/Dictator closed us for 11 weeks but now basically puts us out of business after a few very good days (Thank YOU!!!)? We do have contingencies in place in case we need them regarding plate issues. We will put you on the road somehow. Stay safe and God Bless. The Nightmare Continues.

Do vehicle dealers really like buying the vehicle online? I cannot imagine that would be the case.

Pa DOT at the ROC opened yesterday for vehicle title work. Our Messenger Room is now open and we were there yesterday to drop off work. Drivers Licenses and Dealer Titles at the ROC are not being processed at the counter yet but hopefully soon. Our office opens Friday the 5th of June and we continue to take work to Pa DOT and get ready for our opening. We are FINALLY moving forward! Stay safe and healthy, and God Bless.
