It's always a reminder to us that we employ some of the most talented and cutting edge professionals in the area. It's officially intern season and we are amped up about our interns this summer! Billy is already on-site learning the ins and out of civil engineering. We believe our interns learn the most by immersing them in real life project work, in the office and out.

Partially located over an historic stream channel that was long ago sequestered within a 16’ brick culvert, Lancaster City’s Culliton Park (formerly known as Farnum Park/Conlin Field) has been dramatically transformed in accordance with the wishes of those who live in its surrounding neighborhoods. RGS Associates and its sub-consultant, the Brinjac Lighting Studio, provided the Landscape Architectural, Civil Engineering, and Lighting/Electrical Design services needed to crea...tively address stormwater management while maximizing this 3.75-acre site’s recreational amenities. City staff also engaged Matthew Geller, Shrock Fabrication, and Aquatic Facility Design to address other park components including customized fencing, site furnishings, and a water play area. Flyway Excavating served as this project’s general contractor. Improved park amenities now include a safer play area, new basketball courts, a new ballfield with spectator seating, a hillside amphitheater/sledding area, picnic/grilling spaces, parking with sub-surface stormwater management, and a large central green for all sorts of recreational activities. Each area is now properly illuminated and connected to adjoining spaces via a circuitous and accessible pathway network. Colorful plantings provide a seasonal succession of landscape interest while assisting with water quality and pollinator initiatives. Along with healthy, mature trees, several stone walls - once the foundations of former industrial buildings located at this park’s perimeter - have been preserved and bathed in soft lighting for improved nighttime security and aesthetics. The recent park reopening is the culmination of eleven years of planning with neighborhood leaders, design collaborations among various consultants, and careful construction efforts by many talented contractors. One nearby resident describes the long-awaited park redevelopment as a gift to the neighborhood that has knocked everybody's socks off. With or without socks, Culliton Park visitors of all ages and backgrounds now have safer, cleaner, and more environmentally-friendly amenities to experience in southwest Lancaster City.

More emergency medical care and more rental housing - both community needs -- will begin to be developed soon in Lancaster city, after the city Planning Commission on Wednesday gave its unanimous final approval to the plans of their providers. We, along with our project team, have been working diligently to design an expansion that will bring both an aesthetic and functional need to our community. https://lancasteronline.com//article_c9712bec-2ab3-11eb-b5

While we enjoy and value every project we work on, there are some projects that just do your heart, mind, and talent some good. The Tree House of Lititz is truly a project that will stay with us for years to come. Kelly, one of our Project Designers, spent the day helping to construct this beautiful dream playground. Our employees not only value the work behind the scenes, they also enjoy getting to put some grit into it! Tree House of Lititz, a beautiful, custom made playground, will be a place where children of all abilities will feel included, valued, heard, and able to play safely. The Tree House will be the culmination of the hopes and dreams of all the children in our own community.

A destination neighborhood known for its family-friendly atmosphere and great location. Landis Farm is now in its fourth and final phase, but there are plenty of new reasons to fall in love with the neighborhood, including three new home elevations, new design options and a brand-new floor plan that will be featured in this fall’s virtual Parade of Homes tour. We are always proud to work with EGStoltzfus on their projects! They are always innovative, environmentally sustainable, tailored for resident needs, and focused on community and engagement. https://lancasteronline.com//article_a87ccaa6-fbf9-11ea-98

There are people who see their jobs as work, and there are those who walk in their calling and see it as their passion fulfilled. Len Bradley, Associate and Supervisor of Engineering, truly sees his "job" as his passion and embodies the highest caliber technical expertise required. And for that reason, he was appointed by the Governor to the Statewide Water Resource Committee. Protecting the Commonwealth's water resources, and their interest in the Chesapeake Bay watershed have long been a passion of his. He will savor this opportunity help the Commonwealth develop their State Water Plan and look forward to the improvements they can make over the next three years. Congratulations Len, we are all so proud of you!!
