ROC Orthopedic Urgent Care In the face of this health pandemic, it is important that healthy individuals stay out of the emergency rooms so that our emergency room physicians and health care professionals can care for those with possible corona virus infections and true medical or life threatening emergencies. During our nation’s health crisis, Richards Orthopaedic Center will have our doors open for Orthopedic or Podiatric emergencies. In addition to seeing our regularly sc...heduled patients, we will also function as a Walk-In Orthopedic Urgent Care Center. Below is a list of urgent conditions that we will see on a ‘Walk in’ basis: Broken bones or dislocated joints Ankle or wrist sprains Lacerations or Abrasions Ingrown toenails Acute open wounds or minor infections Our new orthopedic urgent care center should not impact our regularly scheduled patients. Our hours will remain the same for now, but may change in the future depending on the needs of our community in the face of the coronavirus crisis. Richards Orthopaedic Center & Sports Medicine is open Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. Please call our office with any questions. 717-414-7798

ROC Office Protocol for Coronavirus The most important priority to our doctors and staff is the health and safety of our patients. We ask that you will work with us to deliver Orthopedic and Podiatric care safely, responsibly, and effectively. Please understand that our office follows universal precautions every day to ensure the health and safety of our patients. This means the use of hand washing, hand sanitizer, cleaning all surfaces between patients , and sterilization... of instruments. We will be implementing these enhanced protocols until this health crisis is behind us: - Patients exhibiting signs of cold or flu are asked to reschedule their appointments after their symptoms have passed. - Patients who have traveled outside of the USA in the last 30 days, please call to reschedule. - Hand sanitizer will be available for use at check in and check out. All surfaces will be wiped down, this includes door handles, counters, and chairs in the waiting room. Magazines, books, and toys will be removed from the waiting room as an added precaution. Please limit the use of cash; check or credit card is preferred. These protocols are not meant to alarm anyone but instead, reassure you that we are doing everything we can to protect our patients and staff. #coronavirusprotocol
