We waited till it felt like fall, and this week definitely has us feeling it. The Pumpkin Pie Latte is back! Now up on our website for easy ordering ahead and contactless payments! Most orders ready in 10 minutes or less for a smooth process. Rumor has it Richmond Street detour is lifted now as well, but driving here is still a crap shoot most days. We’re used to adversity here, so don’t let it stop you from supporting all we’ve been trying to do on Richmond Street. Fall is a great time to grab some coffee #RichmondStreetRevival

As Summer comes to a close, we want to thank everyone of you who has come back since we reopened. We are trying our best to meet everyone where they are in these difficult times. Please stay safe! Starting this Sunday, August 16th, we’re back to being open on Sundays! For now our weekend hours will be 8am to 2pm, weekday 7am to 2pm. Please order ahead using our website. All stock and inventory is online and the typical turnaround is 10-15 minutes. You’ll rarely wait in person as we make your order while you’re on your way! It’s great. You’ll love it. We’ve brought back some fan favorites from @aufournil, so stay tuned as I’ll announce that in the morning. #open7days #again

Hi Everyone! We hope you are all well and we miss you! Most of our followers have not visited us in many months, and obviously that’s OK given the pandemic. We miss the way things were before Covid, and we would do anything to get back to the way it was! Since re-opening, we have implemented a plan to make everyone safer. We let one in at a time to pick up pre-orders. We wipe down surfaces often. We wear our masks at all times. SINCE OPENING, many people have stopped b...y to order in person because it can be convenient, and we accommodate that, one at a time, while also processing the thoughtful pre-orders at the same time. It is far easier to have pre-orders only, or in-person only, but difficult to do both while maintaining distance and serving you quickly. Also, we have signs everywhere, more than I ever wanted, and people still don’t wear a mask sometimes. WHY!? Aside from the forgivable absentmindedness, you maybe think this is a joke? Stop that. Online pre-orders allow us to make your order while you are on your way, then you spend brief moments, seconds really, picking up your order. It’s not what we wanted for River Wards Cafe, but it is the best for us during this pandemic. We are trying super hard to make this work, and most of our loyal customers understand this, and cooperate...so I thank them fully for always being there! I apologize for the tone of this PSA, but you may not see this first hand like I do. We will always continue to serve you with a smile, but I fear you won’t see it through the mask unfortunately. I’ve personally worked alone much of this time and talked to every customer with respect and understanding! I appreciate you all so much. We will continue to be a beacon of hope on Richmond Street, and we understand all of your complaints and wishes for a better situation around here. Over the years, @inspiredbrews inspired us. I’m selfishly bummed we won’t have their booch any longer, and hopefully optimistic for Jessa and staff to get through the hurdles of their individual futures. I trust closing was a long and challenging decision, so I only wish there is some light amongst the dark. We stocked up before COVID19 hit, so now we’re offering a sale on all Inspired Brews Kombucha for $3 a bottle when you preorder online. It’s hard to say goodbye to our favorite!
