Five years ago today, the RoboLancers took home our first ever blue banner, winning the Chairman’s Award at the MAR District Upper Darby Event. The presenters were President Stanley Umeweni (274), Electrical Lead Maria Shayegan (274), and Treasurer Evan Aretz (275). The best part of looking at this photo is seeing all the team alumni who are still involved with the team or with FIRST today, continuing the work that won us this award in the first place (and five more Chairman’s banners since)! And a special shout out to Meghan Ho and John Capone (271) who continue to mentor our Chairman’s team every year!

The RoboLancers and Central High School mourn the sudden passing of Jessica Mark from the 278th class, who went on to study graphic design at Drexel. Jess was an amazing friend and artist whose designs can still be found on our team shirts and buttons. The funeral will be held Thursday morning, March 26th, at 9:00am, and will be streamed through Zoom.... Our scheduled FRC District event for this weekend has been cancelled. But we’re still forging ahead with robot preparations... today fashioning a new climbing hook over a Bunsen burner.
