I made her breakfast in bed today. Because as her stepfather, I want to show the example. It’s her birthday!!! The story goes, my wife was super sick while pregnant, so I had to learn how to do ponytails, fix a dance uniform and navigate my own actions because a young black woman was watching. Even tho you still call me Mr Jarrad, I know inside you call me Dad. Cuz’ I call you mine. Happy Birthday honey. Daddy love You.
