The battle against COVID continues! I am thankful we had so many choose to receive the vaccine today.

Rolling Meadows has some super exciting news to share with our friends, family and community!!! Today, we had over 100 residents and staff that were vaccinated with the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. We look forward to hosting the second vaccine clinic on January 25th. We are so proud of our residents and staff for taking the first step in making a difference in our community!

On behalf of all our staff and residents we would like to wish our friends and family a safe, happy and most importantly a healthy new year. We look forward to seeing you in 2021! Happy New Year

Thank you to all of the past, present and future veterans for your service to our country. A special thank you to our Veterans at the facility we are honored to have 11 veterans. These men have served in the ARMY, Airforce, Marines, Navy, Coast Guard and even one who was a Navy Seal.

We hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday while we would like to share some things that have been going on here at Rolling Meadows. A snack table was provided for our staff during our busy days during holiday time. A special thanks to all that took an Angel tree tag. All of our residents received Christmas gifts which would not have been possible without everyone's participation. We had a number of volunteers and anonymous gift givers drop off gifts throughout the ...month of December. To name a few, The West Greene FFA donated poinsettias. Lap blankets were provided for all of our residents from Greene County Fair Queen and FFA. Blankets were provided to all of our Veterans. Some word search books and puzzles were donated for our residents also. Debbie Lightner, a Color Street Stylist donated some nail strips for our residents. We would also like to thank Pursley Baptist Church for donating gift cards to all of our staff for Christmas. See more

We hope everyone had a safe and Happy Halloween yesterday, we would like to thank everyone who came out for our Halloween parade Wednesday night. A special thank you to Amedisys Hospice for doing trunk or treat for our families and friends. We appreciate all of our partners who donated items and candy to make this event a success.

Thank you to the West Greene FFA chapter for donating several beautiful poinsettias that they grew themselves at their greenhouse and donated to our facility. We really appreciate your generosity during these times.

We are happy to partner with Concordia Hospice of Washington for their Cardinal Project. They are collecting and gifting bird feeders to our residents and many others living in long term care facilities. If you would like to join us in helping our residents and local senior friends enjoy these birdfeeders, please visit: www.concordiacardinalproject.org. As they have already donated feeders and bird seed to our facility and continuing to bring more as donations come in. Thanks again for being a partner we can count on.

We will be hosting our annual Halloween event this year just a little different, please join us on Wednesday, October 28th from 5-6:30. If you would like to decorate your vehicle and set up to hand out candy for trunk or treat please call the facility at 724-627-3153 and ask for Heather. We were so happy to team up with Gateway Hospice in the Marybell Doll Project, it was a huge success and brought so much love, laughter and tears of joy to so many residents including several of our own. Rolling Meadows is proud to be an Amethyst Sponsor for the Alzheimer’s Association. On Friday, we participated in our own walk at the facility which looked a little different than in years past but we were happy to still get the residents out and enjoy the beautiful weather! We even had our own promise garden which is displayed by the window visit area for families.
