PICK UP AND DROP OFF :We urge you to use buses and vans to bring your athletes to the venue. It is really the safest and most efficient way to bring your childr...en to the venue safely. But if they are being dropped off, please DO NOT drop them off on Kelly Drive before the enclosure gate. It is very dangerous! We have a drop off area beyond the gate that is a safety zone supervised by staff and you should wait and use that area. This is true for buses also. One bus attempted to drop kids off in the middle of Kelly Drive traffic. Rowers should wait on the sidewalk inside the enclosure for pick up and not on Kelly Drive. Parents should not pick up the children until the child is at the gate and has already called them. If your child is not at the gate you will be asked to leave and return later. Please DO NOT double park or make U-Turns on Kelly Drive. It is very dangerous and you will be ticketed. Continue up the detour and find a safe place to turn around there. See more

Click through for a series of images to further brighten this sunny day ..... This is the barge, that connects to the pipe, that connects to the machine , that... connects to the bottom of the river and will carry 60,000 cubic yards of silt material away to allow for safe and recreational use of the water. This moment was 8 active years in the making and near-constant work throughout. It would have never been possible without steadfast determination , a willingness to often accept setbacks, and a persistent commitment to collaboration and teamwork. Important lessons for the next set of challenges that await us. @whyy @michael w Murphy @johnphogan @hogantoby @ Schuylkill Navy of Philadelphia See more

Our newest edition of Catching Up With The Cahillites is Tyler Judge ‘15. 1. What college or university did you attend? Temple University. ... 2. What did you study / major in? I varied in my majors. I began with Nursing, switched to Psychology to be a therapist, and then I finally decided on majoring in Secondary Education: Social Studies. 3. What were you involved in at your college or university? At Temple, other than working every weekend and going to classes 5 days a week, I was fortunate to be on Temple’s Lightweight Rowing Team. I rowed for all 4 years under the Student-Athlete title and I would never change what I did. 4. How did Roman help you in your transition from high school to college? Roman taught me how to be a real man. Coming from the northeast and St. Albert parish, Roman truly was the best decision for me. I made the best friends I could ever ask for (I’m talking to you; Masgai, Stevenson, Fusco, and Leonard) and I learned that if I put myself out there, work to the best of my ability, then I could do anything I set my mind to. 5. What were you involved in during your time at Roman? At Roman, I was on the swim team just for my freshman year to see if I could continue with it throughout high school and possibly swim in college. However, my brother went to a different high school and was on their rowing team and I thought I could do it too. I rowed from my freshman year up until my final SRAA National Championship in the Lightweight Quad my senior year (shout out to my boatmates: Wellein, Brauckman, and Frye). Rowing was the best decision of my life. 6. What are you doing in your early years out of college? I just graduated from Temple this past December. I was given advice to go to a career fair for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and try to find a job within it, and I was fortunate to be interviewed by the superintendent of Catholic Schools and Sister told me to talk to Holy Trinity School because they were in need of a teacher. I did, and now I am happily employed by Holy Trinity School up in Morrisville. Additionally, I am also the freshman girls rowing coach at Villa Joseph Marie High School. 7. If you could give advice to current Roman students, what would it be? Enjoy every single second that this school offers you. You may not like everything about it, but please trust me when I say that Roman is the best school in this entire country. You will form bonds and friendships that may never happen again. So get out there, reach out to the kid who is sitting alone, join sports teams, you have no idea where you will end up, but one thing is for certain - we are family, we are brothers, and we are all Cahillites. #RCHS
