Ooooh my! This is my buddy's 70 Impala. The previous owner thought it a good idea to use masking tape and rubberized roof cement to seal this cowl! It just rott...ed at the seam. Now I have to repair this nightmare for my brother! Not to mention their obscene amount of furnace tin and rivets! These guys were masterminds of deceit! They used furnace tin to make all four wheel openings, And 90% of the quarters! They loved tar and had no concept of how fiberglass matting and resin works. Wait theres more!! They removed all the bodyline trim with what looks like they used a chisel or straight screwdriver and a hammer because every stud was broken off and the head ground down then Duraglassed over. Now if you had the grinder out wouldnt you grind the area you were gonna repair? NOPE FAAAAK IT! JUST SLAP SOME GLASS AND BONDO TO UNPREPPED METAL! FAAAKIN SWEEET! The bondo in some areas was 35 inches thick! Shame shame!! The old me would have mentioned your name! Please for the love of CHRIST AND EVERYTHING HOLY!! DONT EVER DO THIS AGAIN!! See more
