Starting a Workout Program Tomorrow? Here are some simple simple tips to get you started on the right path... get yourself a supportive pair of sneakers, sports bra and pants that stay up. You do not need to break the bank, just make sure you can move and groove. ... invite a friend to join you. Studies show that working out together with a friend makes you more accountable and will help you stick to a program. try new things and make sure you find something you like and will get you excited. get up early and get.it.done! This part may be challenging at first but it is so much easier to talk yourself out of working out if you save it til the end of the day. I promise you will get used to it and you will feel like a million bucks when it is done. I have taught at all times of the day and without a doubt the people who stick with working out the longest are morning exercisers. Rosie’s Boot Camp fact!!! drink water ! I will always add that in whether I am talking exercise or health. It is a must and will make you feel better. Get a 32-40 oz water bottle and fill it up 2-4 times a day. It is good for you, take my word for it. don’t be so hard on yourself. If you miss a workout, don’t give up. It is ok just get back on the wagon. just because you don’t run doesn’t mean you aren’t working out. Running is great but it isn’t the only way to work out and personally I am in better shape when I don’t run...stronger, more fit, and less injuries. go to bed early...or get more sleep. Sooo working with kids is definitely not my specialty but a 15 minute workout on Zoom I can totally handle! And I loved it ! Susan Gill Connolly needed some ...help with her kids at Union Terrace who basically have to sit in front of a computer all day long. And since she gives her heart and soul to these kids I thought it was the least I could do. If you teach in any Allentown Elementary School and you would like me to pop in your zoom class for a Rosie’s Boot Camp Workout with your kids please let me know. It is the least I can do and maybe it will take my mind off all this craziness.

Rosie's Boot Camp and Personal Training 18.07.2020

Just finished up my morning workout outside Hackensack Hospital waiting for my mom’s surgery to be done. She is getting Anterior Cervical Spine surgery. People ask me all the time...don’t you take a day off from working out? I know it is important to give your body a rest or have a day or two of recovery and I do that on occasion but honestly getting my workout in just makes me feel better. I guess I can equate it to my therapy or maybe just a stress relief or anti-an...xiety meds. Except it isn’t meds...it is exercise and I truly love it. What did I do in Hackensack NJ you ask? Well I went for a 3 mile slow jog because I never get to run. And since I have the absolute worst sense of direction I just stayed on the main road and went up and down and around the block. Then I came back to the parking garage and did the 9 flights of steps several times (96 steps to be exact). I also never get to do steps unless I am traveling and I REALLY love a stair workout. And then I found an area to do some Step-Ups and Jumping Jax. I sort of felt like it was a rest day because the workout was so different then I normally do. I think I got my love for exercise from my mom and dad. And I hope and pray after my mom’s surgery she can get back to walking everyday. I can’t really remember a time when my mom didn’t power walk. She did jazzercise when I was young but walking is her jam and with her pain she has not been able to walk for almost a year. My dad was an incredible golfer and was always always as active as he could be. And coincidently there is a Breast Cancer Expo our front of the hospital today, October 1. For my local Rosie’s Boot Camp...I will be back for class tomorrow at 5:45 am and 9:00 am to help keep you healthy.
