With the forecast and being a holiday we have decided to open Archery World On Friday from noon till 8:00 pm. We will also be open regular hours on Sat-Sun. 9:00 am-4:00 pm.

Remember we’re open till noon today and 9:00am-4:00pm tomorrow. Starting Regular hours next Friday 6:00pm-8:30 pm and Sat-Sun 9:00am-4:00pm

We hate to have to do this but with the situation with the COVID pandemic and the Governor that keeps changing the rules and most importantly the safety of our young archers we have decided not to have the youth league this year. We have instead put in a 30 target youth course that they can come shoot at there convenience for $10. It is a 25 yard max course and any youth shooter under 16 yes old shooting it will be put in a drawing for a Hoyt youth bow donated by RPM Archery in Punxsutawney . You will get a chance at the bow every time you shoot the youth course and We will draw for the box at the end of the indoor season in April. We hope to see our youth league kids take advantage of this and hopefully we can bring the league back soon.

For my archery friends with Instagram please do us a favor. This family was our biggest supporters at youth league alway there to help us. Let’s help their kid win some cleats in memory of his grandma!

If you shoot at Archery World then you probably know Alexis. We just wanted to share her first product review. She loves writing so there will be more to come!! After 10 years of shooting and experimenting with different string companies, I have found that Rogue Bowstrings produces the highest quality strings in the industry. I made the switch because I needed strings that didn’t stretch, provided a perfect peep-sight alignment, increased my arrow speed, and t...hey were really helpful in making sure I got exactly what I wanted. I am beyond impressed by the quality of these strings and have found I am now shooting better than ever because of them. Before I made the switch, I found with other companies that my strings would stretch, forcing me to retune my bow a lot more than I should have had to. This can definitely affect the way you perform at competitions or even hunting. One example of this was when at IBO Indoor Worlds when I found that my arrows were not flying straight. When I got home I found that I needed to retune it because the strings had stretched. I later switched to Rogue and haven’t had any string stretch at all and seem to be shooting a lot more consistently than I had been before. Another important aspect of bowstrings is being able to have a perfect peep-sight alignmet. In order to be able to see your whole sight, your peep must be aligned with your sight and if it turns, you won’t be able to clearly see the whole sight. I now have a perfect peep-sight alignment every shot thanks to now having the highest quality strings that have ever been made. As an unknown yardage 3D shooter, speed makes a world of difference when trying to shoot accurately while judging. Because of Rogue, I gained 10 feet per second. With buying Rogue you know exactly what you’re buying thanks to their helpful staff members. When I was first considering making the switch, Justin Martin helped me to find which strings would work best for me and what color would look the best on my bow. I am really thankful for this because R21’s were definitely the best option for me. I highly recommend Rogue Bowstrings to anyone who is looking to upgrade their strings. 2020 youth league banquet today. The weather was beautiful! Thank you all that could make it and helped make this day so wonderful.

Today on my personal Facebook page I asked if anyone could donate 30 bags for our youth league to put prizes in before Saturday. I honestly figured I wouldn’t even get a response. Well a few hours later here I am with the bags delivered right to my porch!! Thank you Tammy and everyone at Steven Weismann insurance we all greatly appreciate your kindness. *****Youth league families here are some updates. Make up night 5:00 Thursday at 331 Ausel Road Oil City, Pa 16301. $10.00 per score. Banquet this Saturday at 12:00. I am bringing pizza, chips and water. My parents are doing hot dogs and chips. Bring a lawn chair if you can for your family. All scores need to be done by the time the banquet start. This is a fun event so bring your bows parents and kids!!! ... Youth league families I just wanted to check in. I was so hoping we would be able to have our banquet done by now but unfortunately that was not a option. I know I can’t make everyone happy but I want to make sure everyone feels comfortable going.My family is very neutral and understands everyone’s personal opinions.
