For all our clients who have cases pending in Immigration Court: Due to the Government's shutdown, the Immigration Court in Philadelphia, PA, and the Immigration Court in Newark, NJ, are currently closed, and no hearings are held. The courts will reopen as soon as the shutdown is over. We do not know when this will happen. We will call you the day before your hearing, as usual, to let you know if you should come to court or not. However, even though you are told by us that y...ou don't have to show up for your court next day, you still must be prepared to appear on a very short notice, if needed, because the courts may reopen any time after the shutdown is over. Like you know already, if you do not show up, the judge will enter a deportation order against you. The Immigration Courts in York and Elizabeth are open and all the hearings of the detained clients continue as scheduled. ******** Para todos nuestros clientes que tienen casos pendientes con el Tribunal de Inmigración: Debido el cierre del gobierno, la Corte de Inmigración en Filadelfia, Pensilvania, y la Corte de Inmigración en Newark, Nueva Jersey, están actualmente cerradas y no se llevan a cabo audiencias.
