Father of all nations and ages, we recall the day when our country claimed its place among the family of nations; for what has been achieved we give you thanks, for the work that still remains we ask your help, and as you have called us from many peoples to be one nation, grant that, under your providence, our country may share your blessings with all the peoples of the earth. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.#weareonebody

(Covid Note 2 Saint Catharine Reading) 12/9/20 Dear Parishioners: I am writing to let you know that all three priests in our rectory have now tested positive for the Coronavirus. In addition, one staff member in the parish office also has tested positive. Father Wehr, Monsignor Treston and I, first of all, want to thank you for the many notes, prayers and well-wishes we have received from our St. Catharine of Siena Parish family. We truly appreciate it!... Out of an abundance of caution, I want you to be aware of generally accepted guidelines for people who have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19. If you have been in close contact defined as being within 6 feet of the person for a total of 15 minutes in a 24-hour period you should speak with a health care provider about being tested for COVID-19. If you have been around a person who has tested positive, but have not been in close contact as defined above, you should monitor for any symptoms and contact a health care provider if symptoms develop. Symptoms include fever, cough, shortness of breath, diarrhea, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat and loss of taste or smell. While these are the guidelines from health care professionals, if you have any concerns, I urge you to contact your health care provider to discuss them. Parish offices will be closed until further notice. Daily Masses are cancelled through Tuesday Dec. 15 and will resume on Wednesday Dec. 16. This weekend’s Masses will go on according to our normal schedule. Visiting priests have been secured for those Masses at St. Catharine of Siena and at St. Mary Church. Please be assured that we have been following all guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control on sanitizing the church, and as you know, we have social distancing and other protocols in place in the church. I understand that some may find this situation concerning. Please know that I will keep you updated on any further developments on our parish Facebook page and website. Thank you for your continued prayers for us, and for everyone at St. Catharine of Siena Parish. -Monsignor Domin See more
