Dear Saint John’s family, It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that I write to announce the passing of our beloved Shawn Pauley. At age 23, Shawn was a unique and extraordinary young man. Following in the tradition of generations of family at Saint John’s, Shawn was baptized and raised as a member of the congregation. He went to Sunday School, catechism, and youth group. He even offered to preach on one particular Sunday. He volunteered to help with pork & sauerkraut..., audio/video ministry, was a mature acolyte and offered time as an AA monitor. Shawn will be sorely missed by family, friends, and our congregation. A graveside service will be held at Sinking Spring Cemetery on December 14th at 10AM. Members of the congregation are welcome to attend, masks will be required. Pastor Moore is officiating. Henninger Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Please keep the Pauley family in your prayers for the days ahead. Sincerely, Pastor Rich 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. Rest eternal grant him, O Lord. And let light perpetual shine upon him. Amen.
