Its that time of year again, as we approach the 4th of July, we would like to inform everyone of the fireworks law in Pennsylvania. You are allowed to purchase and set off "Class C" fireworks which contain a maximum of 50 milligrams of explosive materials. When setting of fireworks the following rules apply: - They cannot be discharged from a motor vehicle. - They cannot be discharged toward a motor vehicle or building.... - They cannot be discharged within 150 feet of an occupied structure. Please be respectful of neighbors and do not set off fireworks late at night. For more information please check out www.psp.pa.gov/public-safety/Pages/fireworks-safety.aspx or look up Pennsylvania House Bill 542. Please check to see if your town has a local ordinances on fireworks. The laws may differ in your town.
