Pink is one of those artists that I honestly forget is out there. Then I'll hear a song of hers on the radio and think, "Who is that voice? She's good!" - only to be reminded again that I should listen to her more often! There's a documentary on her life that's coming out that I think would be interesting to check out. After all, as she says, not many women are headlining rock tours out there, and not many are selling out two nights in Wembly Stadium. And she's doing it wh...ile navigating marriage and motherhood. You can check out this interesting interview she gave about the documentary here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pt8wiudtops

A HUGE shout out to my former student, Patrick Cannon! Patrick is a hugely talented performer and also an extremely talented writer! Last night, Steeltown Entertainment honored Patrick's debut project "Mulligan" in their Elly Award ceremony, which honored members of Western Pennsylvania's film and television industry. "Mulligan" won the 2021 Impact Award. Patrick wrote and stars in "Mulligan". Check out the article for more information on how you can see it for yourself. ... Way to go, Patrick Cannon! I'm so stinkin' proud of you! From the article in today's Post Gazette: Steeltown gave the 2021 Impact Award to Mulligan, a television pilot set in Pittsburgh and featuring a cast and crew compromised almost entirely of local talent. It follows a troubled golfer who comes home to work at his brother’s miniature golf course and driving range. Mulligan was created and written by Sheraden native Patrick Cannon, directed by Steve Parys and produced by Caroline Collins. The show, which is currently available for free via Amazon Prime Video, was an official selection at Film Independent's LA Film Festival and won the best pilot award at the Rhode Island International Film Festival.
