I'm pretty certain nobody will appreciate this picture for the complexity involved but, do you know how hard it is to hold a sign on one hand while making a bird look at you?... It was pretty darn hard! LoL. #petsarepeopletoo sandrachile.com

Growing up, I was obsessed with looking at my parents wedding album. Among all the pictures I had 2 favorites, this was one of them. My parents got married at home. Had a reception cocktail at home, and like any chilean wedding (no matter how small the space was) dance was of course, a must (even if it had to be among my grandma’s living room figurines). My mother would have preferred a bigger wedding at a venue, but in times of dictatorship (with a strict curfews) getting... hitch at home was all she got. She probably never guessed how much I loved looking at this picture. The very same place that embraced their dancing, was the place where growing up we gathered for birthdays with cousins. And stairs behind my parents in this picture, was the stairs in which my brother and I played to be bank tellers, with dollar bills drawn by ourselves. Today I was supposed to celebrate a wedding surrounded by 100 people, at a beautiful venue. Instead, I’ll be photographing a wedding at home, which seems a little devastating. I know couples are having a hard time at these sudden changes, so consider this your reminder, that although this might not seem what you had planned, there is a still a story to be written, and maybe these circumstances will hold more value than you might ever think, like they hold for me. sandrachile.com

You don’t need a reception. You don’t need a church. You don’t need a white dress. You don’t need a Tuxedo. You don’t need a gazillion people around you.... You don’t need personalized napkins or cups. You don’t need makeup. You don’t even need shoes. What you actually need is: A deep understanding of love. The commitment with yourself first, that you will love your significant other despite their failures and mistakes, you will love them at their worse, even more than they can love themselves. I wrote that a few months ago when I shared one of my engagement sessions. I’m not sure why I wrote this instead of the story if the couples. Fast forward, Rona made this couple cancel their wedding, but they are still getting married today on a simple elopement. I have been unable to work since the end of February, and today I go back to the wedding world with a wedding that is different than any other, and although I’m a little sad for the couple, I am also glad that I can go back to my website and read this and to remind myself and others that all we really need is each other. That’s all. Happy wedding day C+A #loveisNOTcancelled

I’ve spent the last 4 weeks holding my head, my tears, but also holding onto hope. I’m not going to lie, I have been slightly freaking out as couples reach out to me to cancel and reschedule their weddings, and we all live through the depths of self isolation of this corona-madness. It is under that spirit that Rossilynne Skena Culgan editor of The Incline is restoring my faith today by bringing us what a Pittsburgh wedding looks like in times of Covid-19 Check it out! ... https://theincline.com//how-a-pittsburgh-couple-pulled-o/ See more
