Congratulations Class of 2020!

This evening during the May Council meeting Duryea Borough council members unanimously voted the following motions. The hiring of two part time police officers ...The hiring of a part time street department worker. A resolution 2020-3 to increase the pay rate for the PA Seatbelt grant for the police department Most importantly the council unanimous voted for the follow resolution: Resolution 2020-4 which waives the 10% penalty on municipal property taxes between June 18th and August 18th. Property owners can use that as an extension on the Face value on their property tax bill. If the need persists later until the year we will address the extension further. Our dates must coincide with the Luzerne County dates for tax collection.
