Sarah Heinz House members regularly pass by both a plaque and a series of patches and pins displayed in our hallways. On this Veteran's Day, we encourage our members and those in our SHH community to read about the 910 SHH members who served in World War 2 and, especially, about the 35 who did not return to their families. 35 members who gave everything they had, everything they ever would have had, in defense of our country and the cause of freedom and justice around the world. Thank you to the hundreds of SHH members, alumni, volunteers, and staff, like our own current Director of Program Services Bob Bechtold, who have served and sacrificed for all of us.

This week members in our Cooking Class learned how to dry their own oregano! Every week members make and do fun, cool things in our elective (sign-up) classes! Signups for the last month of Fall Session will END on Saturday November 14th. If you would like to sign your member up for a Winter Session class starting in January, you can do so starting November 30th, the Monday after Thanksgiving.
