One of our supporters just posted a book review on her blog. It's a story that takes place inside a beehive. Remember -- bees pollinate the plants that produce fruits and vegetables that we eat. No Bees, no Food. Bees are just as equal to saving farms across America. Enjoy this book review. www.thebucksundergroundrailroad.com

Three years ago today, Louise Leckner passed over to the other side. She was doing hands-on healing at a February 10, 2013 event our supporters held inside the Market at the farm. Our roof was not replaced, covered only with a tarp but the supporters wanted to get the word out about our troubles. In the mid afternoon Louise feinted and while Renee stayed on the phone with the 911 operator, we anxiously waited for the EMT to arrive.( At that time there was no EMT in our commun...ity, but there is one now). It was a half hour before the ambulance arrived and transported her to St. Mary's Hospital. Louise never regained consciousness. If you've been to the Market, you've seen the picture of Louise hanging by the cash register counter. Customers often ask about her and we share her story. Many of our supporters believe she is watching over us. Her spirit is strong. See more

Honey Bees. Read about a swarm that happened in Doylestown a few years ago: www.thebucksundergroundrailroad.com. No bees....no food. They are very necessary to keeping food and even flowers on our planet.

November’s Native American Month comes to a close but not before we invite our friends and supporters of the Thorpe First Nation Farm to gather and pay respect and blessings to our land where centuries ago the Delaware Nation Natives lived and hunted and fished. Areas of our 143 acre farm hold Native history that reaches back to the 1737 William Penn Walking Purchase. There will be storytelling, crafting, sage burning, drumming and dancing from Native Americans Nokomis Patter...son, Blue Jay Michalski, Honey Shasha’ah and Kymme Walker. A Native American blessing will also be given. This is the latest Native American event at the Farm where the public is invited to join in the ceremonies. The Thorpe family can trace our genealogy to former Olympian Jim Thorpe of the Sac and Fox Nation. Jim Thorpe’s ancestors in Oklahoma continue court battles for his remains to be removed from Mauch Chunk, Pennsylvania and returned to his Nation’s ground in Oklahoma. We're still in the battle to keep our Farm that has been in our family for five generations. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday, November 29 when everything begins at 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. The Market is decorated for the Christmas holiday. Stop in and add something to your home decorations!
