Mayor’s Statement on the September 26 Oktoberfest Events in Saxonburg This Saturday, September 26th, there will be individual events in Saxonburg as an Oktoberfest celebration. You are welcome to come to Saxonburg for these activities and enjoy everything that is Saxonburg. I have always said that Saxonburg is a small tax base, but it is an extended community. The people of Saxonburg and the surrounding communities are what makes this area the best place to live and raise a... family. These same people represent what makes America the greatest country in the history of the world. Likely, what makes America the greatest is that this is the land of personal responsibility. This has been a difficult year for all of us as our lives have completely changed because of COVID 19. There are new normals that we follow to protect ourselves, our families, and those around us. Please follow the CDC guidelines as you enjoy these individual events, given to us by various businesses and organizations. Please know that we have not closed any streets in the Borough, so be cautious of pedestrian traffic as you drive our streets. The open area on Horne Avenue is available for parking. Please avoid parking on the narrow side streets so we can maintain access for emergency vehicles if needed. Respectfully, Bill Gillespie Mayor, Saxonburg Borough
