Saxophone, clarinet, bassoon, flute & oboe lessons 30.06.2021

' I'm working on my re-enter to my New York City teaching. I am continuing my NYC groove. I miss this- and plan to continue this starting in July. If you are... interested in lessons- at Michiko Studios on 46th St email me at [email protected]. I always maintained teaching / performing as my first choice. I'm a player who teaches and a teacher who plays. It's over 14 months since I was in NYC working. Tough times for all - but I'm not taking a back seat to this- I plan to continue my NYC teaching. I'm not done- far from it. There's a great link here from my Roberto's family on what I do ; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KIzpmDj_QQ That video tells a story of the hard work and decades of teaching. Also bio here; https://centerstage.conn-selmer.com/artists/tim-price ' This is what I do, if your interested, email me at [email protected] let's talk ASAP. Thank you!

These were designed by me as an aid to help people worldwide with basic skills, ear training & 2-5 playing and understanding. Plus more. There’s over a book and a half‘s worth of material here, free please check it out and make sure to pass it on. These I am very proud of since they have been out since 2000. Thanks! SOTW relocated my valuable lessons:

Read the fine print about a benefit for Jaki Byard. "Believe it! Some JMF [Jive Motherf*****] stole his piano."

' Charlie Parker....the term genius for this man is the starting point. Yesterday I enjoyed all the great posts on Bird- and discussions. Think about it, if eve...ryone posts things that are _fact_ and something posts about things they enjoy/ are inspired by it will hopefully raise the bar. Jazz wasn't invented on you-tube- Plus as Quincy has said- our country is the only country without a minister of culture. BIRD...wanted to study with Edgar Varèse in autumn 1954 but the composer flew to Europe to conduct Déserts. When he came back to New York in May 1955, Parker had already died. We also know Bird was in contact with Varese, and they talked about the musics. Varese had a workshop with Art Farmer (trumpet), Hal McKusik (clarinet, alto sax), Teo Macero (tenor sax), Eddie Bert (trombone), Frank Rehak (trombone), Don Butterfield (tuba), Hall Overton (piano), Charlie Mingus (bass), Ed Shaughnessy (drums), and John La Porta (alto sax) IMAGINE...what that sounded like. My information on that came from John LaPorta himself, His description of it was pretty fascinating. John knew Bird, and recorded/ jammed with him. His words on that are still ringing in my ears like it was 5 minutes ago. Bird needs to be heard daily on the " net'....it's the truth. Make that happen...now is the time. Lots of people are sitting round on line. ' The picture you see of Charlie Parker is the first thing you see when entering my home. Any student that comes here or anyone else will see that picture immediately. I would tell young students who he was, and more. There's no time to tap dance with folks- the sooner the better they get to this man's art. Think about it- BIRD LIVES ! Celebrate Charlie Parker everyday. Thanks.....enjoy your Sunday. See more
