Many times we believe our life is normal, our relationships are fine and overall all is well. It can be similar to the way our eyes adjust to light. If we live with the lights dimmed for a length of time we believe we can see just fine. It isn’t until we walk out into the sun or someone turns on all the lights that we realize just how dark it was. Toxicity and abuse in relationships can be the same waywe accept it as normal, we accept it as Love. Until someone shows us what real love is and the lights come on. Just because our eyes adjust, doesn’t mean it isn’t dark anymore. Just because you’ve grown used to the way someone treats you doesn’t mean it is healthy or okay.
