I was walking in the beaver Meadow the other day and it was just beautiful. Lear leaf Cress Was everywhere so I took a shot up the stream and down the stream the one upstream contains the bald cypress I planted 20 years ago.I also found a few morel mushrooms.

Garlic mustard, is a fast moving invasive, that hasn’t been a problem in the sanctuary until recently. Fortunately it is easy to weed, the roots pull out pretty good. I have three areas in the sanctuary that I weed every year and I seem to be getting less. The pictures I’m going to post are not from Calvin and you’ll see why anyway there’s some before and after pictures of weeding.

Tee found a fox den today, I was lucky to get a couple shots - a truly wonderful experience watching the kits watch me . . .

Wild Violets are prolific this year, the ferns are starting to show their little fiddleheads and jack's where he's 'pose to be . . .

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce both myself sitting on the log up front and my very good friend Cal Robinson behind me. Cal is the official photographer for the sanctuary and all the great pictures that you see are from him.Cal probably knows the sanctuary as well as I do by now and all the beautiful spots.
