Full tort and limited tort? When you look at policies, one upfront consideration is if you prioritize getting a monthly discount on your policy versus keeping your options open. This is because Pennsylvania has full tort and limited tort options. Here is a look at this issue and one other. Full tort auto insurance lets you seek compensation for pain and suffering if you are hurt in a car accident that is not your fault. That said, limited tort does allow you to seek compe...nsation for pain and suffering in serious cases. As with anything, reading the fine print is critical. It makes sense that vehicles colliding at high speeds can cause catastrophic injuries. Did you know, though, that slow-speed crashes can still result in serious injuries? A seemingly minor car accident like a fender-bender or red light rear-end collision even without major property damage can easily cause harm to vehicle occupants. Even if you initially think you aren’t hurt, it’s always a good idea to see a doctor after an accident. There are many different types of car accident injuries, and some of them might not be immediately apparent following a crash. If you do end up bringing a claim for compensation following an accident, medical documentation is critical. Learn more about possible delayed-onset injuries https://bit.ly/3dSRSwT

A PopularScience article relayed information about a previously relatively unconsidered subset of child injuries: burns. Data cited in the article found that nearly 10,000 children each year go to emergency rooms for burns caused by instant soup. These aren’t your stereotypical ramen eaters college students have that dubious honor but instead this group is comprised of young children between the ages of four and twelve. One out of every ten children visiting the E.R. for soup-related burns needed to be hospitalized for their injuries; that’s nearly 1,000 children per year. In fact, soup injuries are so common that they account for one out of every five pediatric burns. Learn more https://bit.ly/2SS7c3b

We are supporting Lee National Denim Day! Lee National Denim Day is a one-day fund-raising event, that's annually observed on the first Friday in October- this year, 2020, October 2nd. This event was started in 1996 to contribute and support breast cancer research and wellness program.... Lee National Denim Day started when several Lee Jeans employees realized that they were affected by breast cancer in one form or another. During the conversation they came with an idea to start some kind of event, that could raise money to help all women suffering from breast cancer. Thus the event was shaped. All money raised from the event is donated to the American Cancer Society. The Staff and the Firm of Scherline & Associates has donated $250.00 to the American Cancer Society in honor of Lee National Denim Day. #LeeNationalDenimDay

What is visual literacy? The concept as it applies to the workplace began with the Toledo Museum of Art which, in 2015, began working with several area businesses, including Owens Corning, to see if visual literacy can improve worker’s ability to identify hazards. Museum officials believe that by teaching employees about how to look at art identifying elements of color, line, shape and space as well as balance, proportion and emphasis they can see their workspace in way...s that have become lost through everyday exposure. As an example, they suggest a machine operator who has looked at the same work area for years and has never noticed a hazard such as a worn surface. After taking the training, the Owens Corning employees identified several hazards such as steps with worn tread and a missing handrail, as well as a shutoff fail-safe with edges that had become jagged over time.
