It will be a hot day with cool music tomorrow for the Appalachian Festival being held at the grounds from 11-6PM. Hooligan-Pa and SAPPHIRE will share the M&T Bank Stage along with DJ Tj Fitzpatrick. The festival features wineries, distilleries, food vendors and artisan crafters. Did you hear that roar today in Summit Station? It could be the Dinosaurs from Jurassic Wonder that are at the fairgrounds! If you missed it today, they will be there tomorrow from 9-5. This is a drive through event and all the excitement can be witnessed from your car. Drive through food units will be set up as well. Tickets can be bought online at www.jurassicwonder.com. ... Although this is not our event, a portion of the proceeds from the event will directly support the Fair.

The dinosaurs are " roaring" to meet you! They will be at the Schuylkill County Fairgrounds until 5pm today and tomorrow 9-5. $10.00 per carload. There are also Food Trucks available. Congratulations to Faith Shiffer, one of the two recipients of the Schuylkill County Fair/FARM Scholarship. Faith is a Pine Grove native and is in her senior year at Keystone College studying accounting.

Congratulations to Stefani Strouse of Auburn as one of the two recipients of the Schuylkill County Fair/FARM Scholarship. Stefani is in her sophomore year at Penn State in Schuylkill Haven as an education major.

This year, the Pennsylvania State Association of County Fairs adopted the theme of Making memories one fair at a time. The Schuylkill County Fair has been making memories in our community for the past 37 years, and year 38 will certainly be one for the record books. Over the last few months, the world has dealt with many issues connected to the COVID-19 virus. Thank you to the Times News in Lehighton for this piece on our fair, the Carbon County Fair, and the West End Fair in Gilbert. This interview was done last Thursday and the article then published on Monday afternoon. As was stated in the interview, we are awaiting follow up to our questions regarding the Governor's new orders and directive from our insurance carrier on what the 2020 Schuylkill County Fair could look like. ...
