Full-Time Police Officer Borough of Schuylkill Haven, PA The Borough of Schuylkill Haven Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Full-Time Police Officer. Qualified applicants must possess an active MPOETC Act 120 certification. ... Applicants must: 1) be capable of possessing requisite skills, knowledge and abilities of a police officer, 2) be at least 21 years of age at time of appointment, 3) have weight proportionate to height, 4) be of good moral character, 5) be physically capable of performing the duties of a police officer, 6) be a PA resident and possess a valid PA operator’s license at time of appointment, 7) possess the visual acuity and auditory ability acceptable for performing all functions and responsibilities of a police officer, and 8) have a high school diploma or its equivalent. Applications can be obtained from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Schuylkill Haven Police Department, 250 Parkway Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972 All applications must be returned with an attached resume and a nonrefundable processing fee of $40.00 no later than 5:00 p.m. June 7, 2021.

Parkway from Main St. to West Columbia is now open for parking on both sides. All other snow emergency routes still have parking restrictions in place. Check back for updates as we will advise what snow emergency streets are open for parking.
Schuylkill Haven Borough crews will start snow removal Wednesday Feb. 3rd at 6 a.m. We request that borough residents move their vehicles from the following streets before this start time. Naffin Ave. Hess St. Bast St. Rotary Lane... Paxson Ave. St. John St. from Main St. to William St. As the snow removal efforts progress we will post the next streets on the list. Be advised that Schuylkill Haven Borough has declared a snow emergency affective immediately. Only the following streets are to be cleared of parked vehicles and only in the blocks that are posted "Snow Emergency Routes". Dock St., Main St., Parkway, Columbia St. and North and South Berne St. If you have any additional questions please call the station. This will stay in affect until further notice.

The owner of these two dogs emailed our department and inquired if anyone reporting seeing them. They escaped out of her yard on July 1st. I'm waiting for more information from the owner. If anyone locates them they are reported to be friendly and please call the police station at 570-385-9111.
