Hello and good snowy day!! Just had a call and want to clarify something from the postcards/FB posts : If you normally mail us your information, you are absolutely welcomed and encouraged to do that again this year. If you usually stop in and drop off your tax papers, with questions and changes being noted by one of us, we can't wait to see you.... What we are attempting to cut back a bit on, are those small office, face to face meetings booked back to back to back. With the germ factor, and the many months we have already endured, safety and good health (yours and ours) is a priority for all of us. We look forward to serving you again this year.

IMPORTANT INFO The IRS just announced that it won't start accepting 2020 tax returns until February 12, 2021. Even though you can prepare your return before February 12, the IRS won't process the return until that date. DO NOT delay bringing in your information to have your taxes done. We will do the taxes, send them from our end, and they will be waiting for the IRS door to open on February 12th.... Also, don't expect your refund before the first week of March if you claim the earned income tax credit or the additional child tax credit. By law, refunds for returns claiming these credits must be delayed. This applies to the entire refund, not just the portion associated with the credits.

Welcome to 2021! Many of you have received our postcard and are already thinking about your tax filing. For the safety of our staff and clients, we are STRONGLY ENCOURAGING the drop off of your tax information this year. State guidelines will dictate just how much in-person talks are permitted. We will make every effort to have your questions answered by phone, text, and email. You will need to know amounts you received for both stimulus payments, as these will be recorded on your return.

LISTEN UP!! It's time to get that 1099 and W-2 info in, so they can be done and mailed by the end of JANUARY. Avoid the last minute stress and DO IT NOW!!

Whew! It's April ! And someone moved our finish line! We have switched to our off-season hours in both offices. Erie is open Mon & Wed from 9am-5pm Findley Lake is open Tues & Thurs from 9am-5pm... If you have yet to file, you have been granted an extension until July 15th, but please don't wait until July to bring in your info. We are still not permitted sit down appointments, but you can drop off when we are open, or use the mail slot anytime. If you owe taxes and wish to wait until July to pay, don't lose those vouchers!!

The Governors of Pennsylvania and NY have adjusted the list of essential and non-essential businesses and we are again allowed to operate with our doors open. That being said, we are taking precautions to limit contact with people and respect the 6 foot distance guidelines. We are continuing to NOT have scheduled sit-down appointments with Scott. You are welcome to mail, fax, email, or drop information through the mail slot in Erie (or mailbox in FIndley Lake) at any time ...of the day or night. Make sure there is an obvious BEST PHONE NUMBER included in your information. If you need to drop off in person, or have returns here to pick up, we are making all attempts to get people in and out and asking only 1 signing group to be inside at a time, so we have the chance to wipe down the table in between. We recommend that you call ahead and we can schedule you, to avoid a crowd at the door.
