Does your little one suffer from frequent canker sores? While it's often difficult to pinpoint exactly what causes them and it may vary from one individual to the next it can sometimes be narrowed down by the process of elimination. It's thought that in some cases sodium lauryl sulfate (or sls), a common ingredient in toothpaste that creates the "foam", may be an irritant to some individuals that suffer from canker sores. If you're still looking for the culprit, check your child's toothpaste and switch to one without it. With any luck, it just might help!

Did you know? According to the CDC, cavities are one of the most common chronic diseases of childhood in the United States. About 20% of children ages 5 to 11 have at least one untreated decayed tooth. The good news? Cavities and tooth decay are extremely preventable if children are taught proper dental hygiene! One of the best ways to help your children keep their teeth healthy and strong is to teach them proper brushing early on.
