Mike Bennett, Selinsgrove H.S. alum '07 and professional cartoonist has left his mark in Selinsgrove! Mike is a professional artist who currently lives in Portland Oregon and is known for his characters on Cartoon Network and Comedy Central. Mike's A to Zoo friends, Dogong, Narwhal and Humuhumu are featured on a wall mural at the Selinsgrove Area Community Pool. The new murals are being painted by Start (student/teen artists resource team) a group of talented artists from S...elinsgrove H.S. and local artist Chris Katcich acting as Start mentor. Mike was one of the students who worked on the original pool murals 20 years ago. The new murals kick off the $400,000 pool repairs, resurfacing and updates including a new splash pad, new swim lanes and starting blocks that will allow Selinsgrove Stingrays Swim Team to host swim meets on site and improved efficiencies in energy usage, filtration and chemical-use monitoring systems. Today: Sunday, September 6, 2020, is the final day for the 2020 swim season at the Selinsgrove Community Pool. We are open at 11:00 AM for Senior Swim hour. From 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM we are open to all. Please come and enjoy this final day in the sun with us!
