Friends of the River: Leon Briggs, whom you may have seen performing a Seneca blessing ritual at the beginning of WaterFire events, is coming to Sharon this Saturday to bless the Shenango River and speak with us about Seneca mid-winter traditions and healing rituals. He'll be at the boat launch in the Lube parking lot at noon Saturday January 30th. Please wear your mask and maintain appropriate physical distance as we are still in a pandemic, and dress for the weather as this will be outdoors. This is not a Shenango River Watchers event, but we wanted to help spread the word to anyone who is interested.

The voting period has ended, and we are waiting to hear the results. We've been neck-and-neck with the Lehigh River so this contest may be coming down to careful manual recounts. Thank you to all of you who voted and/or spread the word on our behalf!
